Q&A
Which of your Pava's is your favorite?
"Each of my Pava mandolins are a favorite for different reasons, and on different songs. They are more similar than different. The A has the most sustain, and the F has the most fierce chop.

I often switch between them, and whichever one I'm holding always feels like the better mandolin. Each time I switch, I think, "this one is clearly the better mandolin", and then I switch back and again, feel like I'm playing the better mandolin."
What do you like most about Pava mandolins?
"Pava mandolins have a bright, full, well-rounded tone. They project without being harsh, and the notes are warm, but punchy, with sustain for days. The chop is monstrous and deep. The Pava can drive a bluegrass band, or compliment the slow, pretty songs with equal brilliance."
